I've produced a series of videos on my YT Channel where I modified a cheap secondhand Cort 5-string.  I reworked the neck fitment, rewound and rewired the pickups, made a new brass bridge, nut and string tree, rewired the original preamp, and done a basic setup.  I also designed and installed an active blend control plus a new 2-band preamp.

Later I resprayed the body with locally made spray finishes.  I also did cross-hatch adhesion tests with the products.

The neck was then shaved to an asymmetrical profile, similar to MTD basses.

Finally I tattooed the back of the neck with a 3D geometric pattern.
